Standing UP for Your Beliefs

This week at the Miss USA Pageant there was a great example of someone standing up for her beliefs. Miss California stated that she believed that marriage is a matrimony between a man and a woman and should not be defiled. She is now being persecuted for the stance that she took and ignored by friends that were closest to her. I for one am proud that she has taken the stance that she has and has not backed down from her beliefs even if it did cost her the Miss USA crown.

I personally do not know if Miss California is a Christian, but as Christians we need to stand up for our beliefs just as Miss California did. We are told that we are going to be persecuted at times for following Christ and standing up for Him, but I feel like very few of us are actually doing this and it shows in our society today. We need to learn a lesson from Miss California that it IS okay to stand up for what you believe in no matter the cost.

New to the Game

So it seems that blogging is the way to go now and seems that everyone I know is becoming a blogger. Well to show that I am hip and can keep up with the times I am going to start my own blog as well. I look forward to seeing how this works out and hope to have fun with this. The idea of even having a blog is so far fetched for me and for me sometimes thought of as something stupid. Change happens in our lives and I have embraced my change of feelings towards blogs!
